The U.S. heirs to a major collection of art looted by the Nazis and finally
returned after years of legal wrangling have sold four paintings back to the
Dutch government for $4 million and donated a fifth work.

Last week, doctors in a Singapore hospital turned off the life support of a
patient — in spite of his family's protests — so that his organs could be used
for transplants. This was done under an Act, which allows hospitals to remove
kidneys, liver, heart and corneas of all non-Muslim citizens.

help homeless people in the city. They're old parking meters that have a new

billion next year, which would leave the hospitals on the hook for over $500
million. For nearly 20 years, hospitals have not been fully reimbursed by the
state for charity care.

including Sunday's silent auction. The tournament is one of four annual events -
